Challenge #1 - Happy Scrappy Day!

Welcome to the DAT'S Designing Divas First Challenge & Blog Hop!

Our first challenge is to create a layout, card or altered item with a scrapbooking theme.

We hope you can share your project with us by Monday, April 30, 2012 at the

If you have come to my blog from Shanna’s Blog, you are on the right track.

I am the fifth blog on the hop and my special word is “here”. To participate to have a chance of winning the blog hop prize, you must leave a comment on my post and continue to the next blog to collect their special word.

After you have collected all 8 words in order, you must go back to the DAT’S Designing Divas Blog to post your 8 word sentence in the comment section by midnight on Monday, April 16, 2012 to qualify for the prize. Good luck and Happy Hopping!

The next blog on the hop is Krista.

For this card all of my supplies were purchased at DAT'S Scrapbooking our LSS in town. Here is what I used:

First I used Bo Bunny Welcome Home 6x6 paper pack and Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Very Vanilla Cardstock to create my card base.

I used C.C Designs Stamps and Momento Ink for my image. I then coloured it with my copic markers.

I used the Scallop Circle Nestabilities and some more Bo Bunny Welcome Home paper to embellish the background of my card.

I embellished the card with Stampin' Up Scallop Edge Punch,  some miscellaneous ribbon from my stash and some stick on pearls from Kaiser Craft. I also used my sewing machine and white thread to stitch around my image and the outside of my card.

I used my computer to create the sentiment then punched it out with 1 3/8" circle punch. I then used some more Early Espresso cardstock and the 1 1/2" circle punch to create a mat for the sentiment.

ENJOY!!
