DAT'S Designing Divas Challenge is to create a wedding or Anniversary card. I created this card for my husband. Our Anniversary isn't until October, but I love having things done early. Because our Annivesary is in the fall I decided to use some fall paper. Because of the Floods in Thunder Bay I wasn't able to go pick up the stamp set I was hoping to use so I had to improvise. This sentiment can be found in the Stamping Bella set "Kisses for my Sweet" by Mo Manning available at DAT'S. I created this one on my computer and then cut it out with a oval nestability. I also used the burnished velvet technique on the scalloped oval. All the papers are from the Autum Splendor paper pack by We R Memories. I stitched around the outside of the card with two rows of brown thread. The flowers and ribbon are from my stash. When I was making my bow I got to use my new Ribbon tool from DAT'S. The new tool from Imaginisce cuts and seals the end of your ribbon. It is FABULOUS!! No more frayed ribbon edges. I love how this card turned out. I hope you will pop over to the DAT'S Designing Divas Challenge Blog and play along with us.
ENJOY!!
Very pretty...love the sentiment!! Lee-Ann :)
