Happy birthday B!

I made this card for Rhys' school friend B. She went to her first school birthday this past weekend, and had a great time! Once again I was having fun with the paper from the NEW mini paper stack "Print Poetry" from Stampin' Up. Funny enough I used some more Summer Starfruit. Still not my favourite but it is growing on me.

The image on the card is actually one that I had coloured about 3 years ago for Rhys' first birthday invitations. I still had some left and it seemed to go with the card so I decided to use it. It also made for a really quick card since it was already coloured. The image is from Dustin Pike.

This card is for our friends J.P and Katie who just welcomed their third child to the world. I love this stamp set and I have used it many times for some quick baby cards. I think I may make this one again in some "Girly" colour. As you can tell we are expecting a lot of babies in the next little while from many of our friends.

Happy Birthday Neela

I made this card for a little girl who was turning 1 on the weekend. Her birthday was a cupcake theme. Once again I was having fun with the paper from the NEW mini paper stack "Print Poetry" from Stampin' Up. The paper pack measures 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 so the papers are PERFECT for card making. This one contains one of my least favourite in colours "Summer Starfruit" but surprisingly it wasn't that bad on this card. I have such a hard time using it!

I used the Cupcake Builder Punch to make the cupcakes and the Bitty Banners Dies and matching stamp set for the sentiment.

Congrats Paul & Melissa

Well I must say I have been on  a role this weekend! I really found my mojo. I managed to finish 2 birthday cards for upcoming birthday parties, 2 Congrats your Pregnant Cards, 2 Welcome Baby Cards, and 1 more Birthday or Thank You card that just needs to be glued together. It is a long weekend here in Canada so my weekend isn't even over yet! The cards will all be up on my blog as I even already have my post programmed to go! What progress!

Onto the card....

Our close friends Paul and Melissa are having a baby in April. I have mentioned them in previous posts as I making them a baby album for the baby's first year. I wanted to mail them a card and up to now I haven't had the chance to get one done. The inspiration for the layout of this card came from my friend Donna's Blog. See her card here. I made a few changes to it but if you look hard you can still see the original layout she had. I add some buttons and a bow so that  it fit in with the theme over at the Paper Players Blog challenge this week. Their challenge was "Buttons, Bows and Babies".

You will notice a pattern in my cards over the next while as I have been using papers out of the NEW mini paper stack "Print Poetry" from Stampin' Up. The paper pack measures 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 so the papers are PERFECT for card making. I must admit I wasn't sure about the patterns and colours but now that I have been playing with them I LOVE them!

One of the other things I did on this card was to fold my Seem Binding Ribbon in half and glue it together. I found that it was to wide for this card but I really like how the colour went so I really wanted to use it. At first thought about cutting it in half but I didn't like how it frayed. So then I folded it and glue it together with my tape gun. I love how it looks!

Valentine Cake Pops

Well I must say I am really loving my Cake Pop maker. My mom and dad bought it for me for Christmas. This was my first attempt at making them for a event. I have made them a few times for the girls but this was my first time making them for other people. I must say they were a big hit, not ONE of them came home. Rhylan was quite disappointed by that!

I ended up making the base to hold the cake pops. I was also able to buy a Cake Carrier and fit the base and the cake pops inside for easier travel. I can't wait to try some more and get a little more creative. I would like to get a chocolate melting pot as I am having a hard time getting my chocolate coating just right. I will let you know how it goes next time!

Stamping Six Sympathy Card

This is the most recent card that we made at my Stamping Six gathering. When I was trying to prepare a card for the gathering I was in need of a Sympathy card. After I made the card I decided that we all need Sympathy cards in our stash so it became the card for the gathering. I really am not happy with the pictures but it was the best I could do as the lighting has been terrible the last couple of days.

I am submitting my card to C.R.A.F.T. Challenge. Their challenge this week was to make a mask. I made my mask with a ripped post it note and used it to make the ground. I placed it on the Very Vanilla oval and the inked the backgroung with Crumb Cake. I then removed the mask and stampes the tree in Soft Seuded.
